  1. Do you think Michel Mann might join your list of favourite directors? You like Thief and Manhunter, right? Maybe you should watch his filmography to see if he does.

Mann’s TV show Crime Story was great. It lasted two seasons and both seasons were great. I highly recommend it if you haven’t seen the show.

Also, has Oliver Stone joined your favourite directors list?

  2. Rest assured Steve, I am a huge fan of director Michael Mann 🙂 Also, I do love Thief and Manhunter 🙂 In fact, the former was shot in the state I live in 🙂

I am aware of Crime Story and I thought it was a masterful TV series 🙂 Funny you mention that because I was going to one day bring it up to you 🙂 You probably knew this already, but Mann directed an episode of the series from season 1 entitled Top of the World – one of my all-time favorite episodes and their are plenty more where that came from 🙂 I also had a crush on Debra Sandlund’s (Debra Stipe) character, which was Joanne Goldman 🙂

As for Oliver Stone, I have yet to get started on rewatching his filmography. I read that he recently made a documentary entitled Nuclear Now 🙂
