  1. Paul Mazursky used to make at least one great, quirky comedy every few years, and sometimes two or three in a row: Next Stop Greenwich Village, Harry & Tonto, An Unmarried Woman. They certainly did things differently then. Like making intelligent, mature, sexy and truthful movies about human beings… and getting large numbers of people, to watch them.

  2. Back in the 70’s, those kinds of words you described to define those kinds of comedies about human beings are 100% accurate. I mean their are still those kinds around, but you really have to dig to find them. Nowadays they are rare because in today’s world they would be considered box-office poison. Make no mistake, I love any kinds of comedies, but the kinds that Paul Mazursky are in short supply. Anyway, thanks for dropping by 🙂
