Manhattan and Annie Hall are also my favourites. I also strongly recommend Blue Jasmine, a one of a kind film from Allen with unbelievable performance by Cate Blanchett.
I have seen Blue Jasmine and it is good plus Cate Blanchett is wonderful, but a lot of Allen’s 21st century work, it is a far cry from his best works. Thanks for dropping by 🙂
Annie Hall and Manhattan are my favourites too, I’d find it very difficult to choose between them.
I hear ya 🙂 Thanks for dropping by 🙂
Like Polanski, Allen is such a polarizing figure that it’s tempting for me to overlook him. But I can’t. His films are too good. My favorite Allen film is Crimes and Misdemeanors.
Then Annie Hall. Match Point. Blue Jasmine. The Sweet Lowdown. Manhattan Murder Mystery. Love and Death. Bullets Over Broadway.
Same here. As for all the stuff written about him in the press, only he and those involved know that truly happened. Even If I am not too big on Woody Allen’s 21st century work, they are still very interesting to watch. Anyway, keep those comments coming 🙂
