Other than pushing Raw Deal higher up on the list. I love it. Mann was one of the great western filmmakers.
You will be happy to know that I just reconsidered and I now have Raw Deal at number 11 under my * * * * star films. Along with Budd Boetticher, Anthony Mann was one of the greatest underrated filmmakers of the Western genre. Anyway, thanks for dropping by 🙂
I need to get myself on to those Mann and Jimmy Stewart westerns. I believe I’ve only seen the excellent The Naked Spur. Slowly ticking them off the list.
