Scott Pilgrim was such a letdown of a movie. I adore Mary Elizabeth Winstead quite a bit but her Ramona Flowers just killed this one for me. Haven’t seen “Baby Driver” but really liked the other three films quite a bit…
I complete disagree with you on Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. The film was just so exuberant and I thought that Mary Elizabeth Winstead’s Ramona Flowers came off as believable. Glad to hear you liked Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and The World’s End a lot though 🙂 Anyway, thanks for dropping by 🙂
I haven’t seen Baby Driver yet, but I did enjoy all of the ‘Cornetto Trilogy’. Being English, it has so many small observations that work well over here. But my top place is always going to be reserved for the TV series ‘Spaced’. Innovative, fresh, often crazily hilarious, and the best acting work Pegg has done to date. We also got the wonderful (and underrated) Jessica Hynes.
Best wishes, Pete.
Pegg’s acting work on Spaced maybe his best work to date as you say. Anyway, thanks for dropping by 🙂
Shaun of the Dead is a brilliant black comedy. I loved it. I enjoyed Hot Fuzz too, though not as much. Haven’t seen Baby Driver. I’ve heard it’s great. For some reason I’ve been avoiding it.
Oh you will love Baby Driver. Think Drive, but loaded with a ton of humor 🙂 Anyway, thanks for dropping by and keep those comments coming 🙂
I may watch it tonight.
