The 2007 Jesse James film is a big favourite of mine. It is beautifully photographed.
Best wishes, Pete.
Yes! I love “The Assassination of Jesse James…” It’s a brilliant film. Very underrated. The acting, the dialogue, the cinematography, yes, even the pacing…to me it is a perfect historical drama…I really enjoyed Killing them Softly as well. Again–though it certainly is no historical drama–the sense of time and place is perfect…I enjoyed Chopper, but, for me, it was all about Eric Bana. Fantastic performance.
The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford is a big favorite of mine as well Pete 🙂 Though you probably knew that already 🙂 Roger Deakins cinematography is beautiful as you say and I also love Nick Cave and Warren Ellis music score 🙂 Anyway, thanks for dropping by 🙂
So glad to hear that you love The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford – I totally agree with you, but then again, you probably knew that already as I told Pete above 🙂 A masterpiece with electrifying performances, dialogue, Roger Deakins cinematography, the pacing is perfect and Nick Cave and Warren Ellis music score 🙂 In other words, I agree with you on this film – it is perfect 🙂 Anyway, thanks for dropping by 🙂
The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford is beautiful to look at. Zooey Deschanel’s cameo appearance was a nice surprise too.
Great to have you back Paul S 🙂 I missed hearing from ya 🙂 Great to hear that you love The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford every bit as much as me and my blogging friends do 🙂 I also agree with you on Zooey Deschanel’s appearance 🙂 Anyway, thanks for dropping by 🙂
