I haven’t seen all of these, but I would highly rate ‘Requiem For A Dream’. One of my favourite modern American films, a wonderful cast, and crushingly powerful.
Best wishes, Pete.
Oh of course Pete 🙂 I do love Requiem for a Dream 🙂 Anything that is four stars (my highest) qualifies as great and three-and-a-half qualifies as very good 🙂 Nevertheless, I hear what you are saying regarding Requiem for a Dream. Powerful stuff indeed 🙂 DId you ever read the Herbert Selby Jr. novel upon which it is based on btw? 🙂 Funny story, I one time bought a DVD of it back in 2002 and when I read the menu, I thought something was wrong because an informercial was playing on it, but then I realized that it was an open reference to the tv program Ellen Burstyn’s character watched in the film :))

I never read the book, John.
Best wishes, Pete.
