Even in his lesser known works Lumet carried a deep sense of advocacy towards those battling injustice. The Hill is my favourite of his films, combining, as it does, the claustrophobic intensity of 12 Angry Men with the devilishly slick aesthetic of Fail-Safe.
As far as good if not very good or great Sidney Lumet films go, The Hill and Fail-Safe are the best. Anyway, thanks for dropping by 🙂
