I had a good think about this, and I can only recall seeing two of his films, ‘La Ronde’, and ‘Lola Montes’. I can’t remember anything of note about ‘Lola Montes’, but actually remember quite a lot of ‘La Ronde’, even though I probably watched it before 1970, in the National Film Theatre, in London.
Best wishes, Pete.
Ophuls American and European work is fantastic 🙂 In fact, the most celebrated of his American work is Letter from an Unknown Woman. Check it out sometime 🙂 Anyway, thanks for dropping by 🙂
