Moviedrome Mondays: Targets (1968) (Mark Cousins intro)

I have posted a youtube video link below to Moviedrome presenter Mark Cousins introduction to late director Peter Bogdanovich’s 1968 gem Targets. Readers can also read Cousins intro transcript here. The episode’s original airdate was February 1, 1998 (read here). Cousins is absolutely spot on about Targets. As for myself, I rank it alongside Saint Jack and They All Laughed as one of Bogdanovich’s most underrated films. If any of you readers are interested, here is a list of my favorite Peter Bogdanovich films (read here).

  1. I saw ‘Targets’ at the cinema on release, and it is an unforgettable film. Unusual at the time, it has never been more relevant, given how many random shootings still happen in America.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. So sorry for the late response Pete – I have just been so busy lately ๐Ÿ™‚ I agree with everything you say about Targets and how it’s theme of frequent shootings still sadly happen in America today ๐Ÿ˜ฆ Anyway, thanks for dropping by ๐Ÿ™‚
