As for myself, I rank it alongside Saint Jack and They All Laughed as one of Bogdanovich’s most underrated films. I saw ‘Targets’ at the cinema on release, and it is an unforgettable film. Unusual at the time, it has never been more relevant, given how many random shootings still happen in America.
